Is it the black headed caique ? If it so, I bet they just passed on the quarantine last week, got this from one of the importer out there. Most of the birds been imported from Surinam. Thats what they told me, together with toucan, yellow winged amazon and yellow fronted amazon.Thay under one shipment I supposed.

Yes, we do need license for caiques, wild caught or captive bred, both implies. Do you have the license?

Saw few Caique in Macau today...but all wild caught...anobdy know where i can get a hand fed one...would trade my soul for this fellow man!

Caiques are very few in our aviculture. Even a Yellow Thighed Caiques also, I did saw one (Yellow Thighed Caique) in Chenak, Thailand last month (I was there for Hadyai Bike Week, did paid some visit to local petshops) but the problem is, no avian been allowed to cross the Malaysian borders. So, Black Headed Caique the only caique left for us. Wild lak tu,xsyiok..

I think we should proceed in keeping captive bred speciments only. We cant stand lost of exotic birds from their natural habitat anymore.
